The Atholl and Breadalbane ploughing match was held at Grandtully Farm and the winners in the conventional class were: throw out – Bobby McLeod, ploughing – Ally Robb, finish – Bobby McLeod, feering, straightest rig and ins and outs – Tommy Campbell.

Meanwhile the Kirriemuir Ploughing Association held its match at East Mains of Whitewell, Finavon. Overall champion was Jock Sivewright and reserve champion was Keith Lyall.
