Grove have second place in sight

-

Grove Menzieshill have recovered from their dramatic loss to Grange a few weeks ago and could consolidate themselves in second place with a home win over Kelburne.

Menzieshill’s nearest rivals, Western Wildcats and Hillhead, meet and a point apiece would suit Menzieshill well.

Kelburne are seeking to mould their relatively new batch of players into a team to regain their former dominant position, but difficult games keep coming to slow their advance.

Menzieshill simply must advantage of this.

Leaders Grange will no doubt march on against Watsonians as the break for the winter and the indoor league nears.

The question as to whether Perthshire take have turned the corner may well be answered when they face Aberdeen Grammar.

St Andrews University have a difficult match against Stepps. The students are fairly well set in mid-table but they, too, would have expected better.

Dundee Wanderers will surely rack up their 11th straight victory against second bottom Glasgow University and take their goals tally to 50.

Wanderers’ only possible rivals are now Dunfermline Carnegie who should stay in touch with three points against Falkirk.

Monarchs will have to be content with their position three points behind ESM as the third division, with only eight teams breaks, early for the winter.
