Menzieshill eyes on top of table

-

Menzieshill have the chance to make up ground on first division leaders Grange with two postponed matches this weekend.

Tomorrow’s match against bottom team Gordonians should surely realise three points but Sunday’s encounter, away to Western Wildcats, will be quite different.

Both teams are on 21 points from nine games and there is only one goal between the two in terms of goal difference.

The significance of this match will not be lost on either club but Menzieshill must start favourites given their current form, but they did lose by the odd goal in three when the two met at the end of October at DISC.

The incentive is even greater for both Menzieshill and Western as Grange hold only a five-point lead at the top of the division. So, if either Menzieshill or Western win both games then they would head the table going into the winter break with Grange having a game in hand.
