Lane closures on M90 between Kinross and Crook of Devon
Some lanes on the M90 between the Kinross junction and the Crook of Devon junction will close overnight from today.
The work – a £200,000 project to improve drainage – is scheduled to last for 10 days.
The closures will take place between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night with all improvements expected to be completed by 6.30am on Saturday, December 8.
No works are scheduled for Saturday or Sunday nights.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north-east representative, said for the safety of roadworkers, as well as motorists, there will be lane closures on the M90 in both the northbound and southbound lanes.
“The £200,000 drainage works at Kinross will help improve this section of the M90 creating a safer journey for motorists,” he said.
“The traffic management is essential to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists.
“The improvements have been scheduled to take place overnight to help minimise disruption for road users. Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.
“We encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date traffic information and we encourage motorists to allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
Consultation has taken place with residents and stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing works to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
The drainage improvement works are weather dependant and are subject to possible changes or delays.
