Thow ‘proud’ to join board of ANM Group

Stonehaven farmer Norman Thow has been appointed to the board of ANM Group.

Mr Thow, who farms in Denside, Auchenblae, runs an extensive family farming operation in partnershi­p with his brother, and with support from his wife and son. It comprises beef cattle, sheep, and arable cropping.

“ANM is a unique business, and I am proud to be joining a co-operative with such a strong heritage of supporting its members, customers and the agricultur­al industry,” said Mr Thow.

“In today’s changing environmen­t and increased competitio­n, we have to adapt and innovate to maintain and increase our market share.

“I look forward to contributi­ng towards these goals and representi­ng our members.”

ANM Group chairman Pete Watson, of Darnford, near Banchory, said: “Norman’s extensive farming background and commercial experience running a successful enterprise will complement the strength and diversity of the group’s board.

“I am confident Norman’s contributi­on will prove beneficial as we work together to set the future direction of ANM.”

“His considerab­le livestock expertise and a strong network of contacts is strategica­lly important to ANM and will benefit our core marts business in particular as we continue to expand our trading area.”
