Thow ‘proud’ to join board of ANM Group
Stonehaven farmer Norman Thow has been appointed to the board of ANM Group.
Mr Thow, who farms in Denside, Auchenblae, runs an extensive family farming operation in partnership with his brother, and with support from his wife and son. It comprises beef cattle, sheep, and arable cropping.
“ANM is a unique business, and I am proud to be joining a co-operative with such a strong heritage of supporting its members, customers and the agricultural industry,” said Mr Thow.
“In today’s changing environment and increased competition, we have to adapt and innovate to maintain and increase our market share.
“I look forward to contributing towards these goals and representing our members.”
ANM Group chairman Pete Watson, of Darnford, near Banchory, said: “Norman’s extensive farming background and commercial experience running a successful enterprise will complement the strength and diversity of the group’s board.
“I am confident Norman’s contribution will prove beneficial as we work together to set the future direction of ANM.”
Chief executive Grant Rogerson said: “I’m delighted to be welcoming Norman to the board and look forward to working with him.
“His considerable livestock expertise and a strong network of contacts is strategically important to ANM and will benefit our core marts business in particular as we continue to expand our trading area.”
