KENMORE’S COOL YULE A celebratio­n of historic festivitie­s will be held at the Scottish Crannog Centre today.

The free Celtic Yule event runs from 10am until 3pm and includes crafts, music and children’s activities.

FAIR CITY FAIR Oakbank Primary School’s Christmas fair will take place today.

Starting from 10am, there will be stalls, a tombola, games and competitio­ns inside the school.

Pupils will also be selling their wares from their business enterprise project.

MUSIC

Perth’s Jambouree Choir will kick off the festive season with a performanc­e at 2.45pm tomorrow in St John’s Shopping Centre.

The group’s annual Christmas concert will be held in the St Leonard’s in the Fields Church on Sunday December 16.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7pm, are available from choir members, Concorde Music Shop or at the door.

BURRELTON BARBECUE Burrelton Village Hall’s Christmas market will return tomorrow.

Some 30 stalls will be set up in the village green from noon until 3pm selling crafts, food and drink, jewellery, plants and artwork.

Homemade soup and barbecued burgers will also be on offer.

ALYTH GET-TOGETHER Alyth Literary Society’s last meeting before the festive break will take place on Tuesday.

Starting at 7.30pm in the Ogilvy Rooms, the speaker will by Dean Dunbar, a blind paddleboar­der from Blairgowri­e. He will give an illustrate­d account of his adventure to St Kilda.

All are welcome.

PERTH SWITCH-ON Craigie’s Christmas lights will be switched on next week.

A carol service will be held in Craigie Church at 6pm on Thursday, before the lights are turned on at 7pm.

FELLINI FILM

Perth Film Society’s final meeting of the season will be held on Thursday, featuring Italian classic La Strada.

As always, the last event before Christmas will include a feast, celebratin­g Italian cuisine as well as cinema.

The event will start at 7.45pm in the Joan Knight studio of Perth Theatre.
