Thorntons Property East Region League Cup

Scone Thistle must have been given a dressing down at half-time from manager Derek Lawson as they trailed 1-0 to a sixth-minute Calvin Wood goal at home to Arbroath Vics.

Whatever was said worked as Craig Mitchell equalised within two minutes of the restart before Sean Whitworth netted on 57 and 67 minutes, Darren Gray completed the scoring on 73 and 87 minutes. Both sides ended the game with 10 men following the double sending off for Max Avolio and Dan Duggen.

Forfar Albion were comfortabl­e 6-0 winners at Coupar Angus in Section A. Daniel Grossi, Kevin Scott, Jonny McBride and Michael McBreaty were all on the scoresheet alongside a brace from Ross Jamieson

With Downfield Park unplayable, the game between Lochee Harp and Tayport was switched to The Canniepair­t with Tayport giving Stevie Kay his first win as manager.

The game was effectivel­y over inside the first 15 minutes as Connor Ireland scored the opener on four minutes and Ryan Suttie volleyed a second before Jamie Gill made it 3-0 on 15 minutes.

Sam McDonald pulled one back just after half-time but Josh Chalmers hit the Tayport fourth with a minute to go.

Rosyth followed up last week’s win in the Scottish Junior Cup with an equally impressive 4-0 victory over West Calder United at The Fleet Grounds.

The Fife side led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a Higgins strike then two goals in a minute from Jason Keith on the hour effectivel­y won the game, Gregg Page adding a fourth with eight to go

The game between Lochore Welfare and Livingston United in Section L was postponed.

Macron Scottish Junior Cup 4th Round

The game at Memorial Park between Thornton Hibs and Renfrew was postponed for a second time and will now be played at Stark’s Park next Saturday at 1.30pm

DJ Laing East Region Cup 2nd Round

Kennoway are through to a Fife derby in the third round of the East Region Cup following a 3-1 win over Downfield at Treaton Park. Bryan Duell was hero turned villain for the Dundee side as he scored their goal then was sent off later on but Kennoway were deserved winners with their goals coming from Ryan Muir, Nathan Doig and Liam Craig.

DJ Laing East Region Cup 3rd Round

For far West End are through to the last eight of the East Region Cup after a tight game at Harthill Royal that the Angus side edged 3-2. Andrew Walls, Craig Batchelor and Jamie Montgomery were the West End scorers.

The clash at Warout Stadium between Glenrothes and Broughty Athletic was postponed due to a waterlogge­d pitch

Kinnoull scored the opener in the Perth derby with Luncarty and then came back from 3-1 down but eventually lost 4-3 in a thriller at Tulloch Park.

Ben Ragen put the home side in front on 14 minutes before Tony Holt equalised 11 minutes later from the spot then Richie Montgomery and an own-goal put Luncarty in control at half-time.

Ragen scored his second early in the second half before Mark Smith equalised for Kinnoull on the hour. The winner for Jonny Kelly’s side came from Kieran Donald with 13 minutes remaining.

Lochgelly Albert took the bragging rights from a fiercely but fairly contested Fife derby against Kirkcaldy YM at Gardiners Park. Jack Mathieson put Albert in front on seven minutes but Darrell Anthony equalised on 26 minutes.

Nathan Laird restored the Albert lead on 57 before man-of-the-match Ricki Cooper made sure of the win with the Lochgelly third on 68 minutes.
