Buzz over last mile in Dundee

-

Daniel Kochaniuk, is trying out an eCargo bike as the last mile initiative comes to Dundee.

The managing director of Electric Bikes Scotland, based at City Quay, said it will improve health and air quality in the city.

The last mile would see less large delivery vehicles needing to clog up Dundee’s roads.

Instead they would head to the Amazon and Hermes depots.

Delivery staff would then transport goods to businesses on the electric vehicles.

Mr Kochaniuk praised the eCargo bike as a way to do this, and said it would be a great first job for teenagers.

The scheme has been in operation in several European cities for a number of years.
