IIC Women’s Cricket T20 World Cup Qualifiers Arbroath Cricket Club August 31 to September 7
Teams from Scotland, Ireland, PNG, Bangladesh, Thailand, USA, Netherlands and Zimbabwe compete for a place at the World Cup in Australia in 2020. Alongside the competitions, at Arbroath Cricket Club and Forfarshire Cricket Club in Broughty Ferry, there will be family friendly activities and the chance for children to try cricket.

Join some of Scotland’s most talented musicians in this celebration of music in all its forms. Competitions and events in venues around the town known as the Gateway to the Glens.

Food and Foraging Walk Forfar Loch September 8 Join an Angus ranger on a guided walk and seek out edible items around the park. Booking is recommended.
Angus Coastal Festival September 13 to 23
Back for 2019 after its successful launch last year, the Angus Coastal Festival offers the chance to explore the county’s beautiful golden beaches, rock pools, estuaries, sand dunes and cliffs.
Walks, talks, exhibitions and nature conservation will be part of the festival.
Doors Open Days Angus September 14 and 15
Visit some of Angus’ historic, contemporary and unusual buildings free of charge, including Arbroath’s Signal Tower, and The Meffan Art Gallery and Museum, where staff will showcase the picture store and conservation work carried out on the fine art collection.

Tall Dark Tales among Tall Dark Trees Monikie Country Park October 5 to 12
An interactive story-telling event run by Be Spooked in the atmospheric surroundings of Monikie Country Park in autumn.
Tales will include the legendary Forfar Witches, the Headless Horseman of Dun told through songs, gags and audience interaction.
Food and drink Angus Brewfest Strathmore Hall, Forfar October 19
A food and drinks festival organised by Angus Farmers’ Market, Brewfest celebrates the most in Scottish independent brewers, distillers and produce.
Visitors can take and enjoy a wide selection of beers and drinks, while treating themselves to sweet and savoury treats or a hog roast all to the beat of live music and DJ sets.
