New season announced at Pitlochry Theatre
Hit musicals and fresh adaptations to hit the stage
Pitlochry Theatre has announced their new autumn, winter and spring season including hit musicals and new adaptations of stage classics as well as a return of the popular Winter Words Festival.
Kicking off the new programme is the Brian Friel play Faith Healer starring television’s Line of Duty and Happy Valley actor George Costigan who is joined on stage by Richard Standing – best known for his role as Sally Webster’s love interest Danny Hargreaves in Coronation Street.
From November 21 to December 23 the theatre will present a new adaptation of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, written by Isobel McArthur.

In the New Year Banff Mountain Film Festival will show two new screenings of “adrenaline-pumping, extreme sport in breathtaking cinematography and stunning scenery” before the theatre celebrates Rabbie Burns with the Jambouree Singers on January 25.
The spring season begins with a host of musical numbers including previous sell-out performers Simon and Garfunkel – Through The Years on February 8. A theatre spokesperson said: “The spring programme bursts into life in a fabulous array of first-time shows and welcome returners.
“Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons lead the way with tribute band Big Girls Don’t Cry for a fantastic night celebrating over a decade of their hits, followed by Masters of the House in a spectacular journey through the world of musical theatre and movies, from former West End musicals stars.”
