Macron Scottish Junior Cup secondround replay

Tayport and Girvan shared an incredible 10 goals in last weekend’s tie in Ayrshire so the sides must do it all again today at the Canniepairt.

With so many goals in the first game, Tayport boss Chris McPherson would be happy with a narrow 1-0 win. He is helped by the return of Ryan Suttie and Greg Whyte but Dale Robertson and Conor Ireland are both missing.

Kirkcaldy & Dysart drew 1-1 with visitors Saltcoats Vics at Alex Penman Park last weekend and they make the return trip to the Ayrshire coast for a replay at Campbell Park. Dylan Hunter misses the game after he was sent off last week and Kirkcaldy boss Craig Ness is also without the injured duo of Ross Ogden and Callum Doran.

Lochgelly Albert travelled north to face Burghead Thistle last weekend and, after a 2-2 draw at Forest Park, the two sides meet again at Gardiners Park this afternoon. Albert manager Andy Healy welcomes back Ryan McGuinness and Blair Clark to the squad that made last week’s long trip.

Luncarty host Broughty Athletic at home, boosted by a narrow 1-0 defeat to last season’s Scottish Junior Cup finalists Largs Thistle at Barrfields Stadium.

The Perthshire side had started well in the Super League but have lost four league games on the bounce and manager Jonny Kelly will be looking to get back to winning ways.

The Luncarty manager is boosted by the return of Chris Anton, Robbie Holden and Jack Parr but defender Danny Dobie is doubtful and former Broughty defender James Yates misses out with a back injury.

Scone Thistle have made a great start to life in the top flight, although they could have been hindered by Derek Lawson’s departure for Forfar West End.

However, Sean Whitworth has taken the hotseat on an interim basis and has done well and will relish the challenge of taking on reigning champions Lochee United on their own patch. Whitworth is without the suspended Darren Spence.

Kennoway Star Hearts face a tough trip to take on leaders Fauldhouse United at Park View with the hosts buoyed by their 2-1 win over Carnoustie Panmure last weekend.

The Fife side should have the same squad available that lost at home to Larkhall Thistle last week.

Lochore Welfare boss James Adam was bitterly disappointed at his side’s performance as they went down 2-1 at home to Brechin Vics in the Scottish Junior Cup and they will be up against it at home to Armadale Thistle as they look for their first league win of the season.

Adam welcomes back Todd Arthur from suspension but will be without the suspended Ewan Sutherland, while Ben Rolland has work commitments.

Chris Ireland returns from suspension for Thornton Hibs as Craig Gilbert’s men look to close the gap on Fauldhouse with a win against Harthill Royal at home.

Hibs were comfortable winners over Rosyth last weekend but Gilbert has Darrel Anthony, Andrew Adam and Matthew Robertson all on holiday, while Ian Shanks is injured.

A rebuilding plan is under way at Coupar Angus, who have won two games this season.

However they are still only a point above today’s opponents Lochee Harp. Coupar’s only doubt is Chris Tracey and they hope to have a new face in the squad.

Blairgowrie manager Mark Brash is able to welcome back Gordon O’Brien, Iain Plenderleith, Rudi Brown, Gordon Pirie and Robbie Hood, who all missed last week’s Scottish Cup clash, for the visit to second-placed East Craigie.

Leaders Newburgh will look to open up a gap at the top as they travel to take on new boys Linlithgow Rose CFC. Scott Hudson’s men enjoyed a week off last weekend and, as a result, Hudson has a full squad to choose from.

Rosyth welcome back skipper Scott Gilfillan and striker Barry Sibanda as they host Sauchie Juniors CFC at the Fleet Grounds. The Fife side will be looking to build on their league form to put pressure on Kirkcaldy.
