The annual Punktoberfest boasts a plethora of underground outfits from across the UK, with the opening session’s line-up being headlined by potent South London ska-punk frontwoman Millie Manders and her backing band The Shut Up.

She’s being joined from 7pm by Panic Attak, Tripwire DC, The Relitics, The Overbites, Crimedesk, Left For Dead UK and The Degenerators.

Tomorrow’s noisefest starts at 1pm and features 21 bands, including The Eddies, Criminalmind, Pizzatramp, Critikill, Small Seeds, Liarbilitys, Mangled, Rotunda, Sunday Punk Club, Rotten Apples, Thee Acid Tongue and Delinquents. Besides the music, merchandise stalls and artwork will be available to browse.

• Hard rock supergroup Lost Angels are set to blitz Kinross’s Green Hotel on Tuesday. Formed in 2010 and made up of Alice Cooper’s guitarist Ryan Roxie, former Slash’s Snakepit and Imperial Drag frontman Eric Dover, drummer Troy Farrell – of ex-Guns N’ Roses axeman Gilby Clarke’s band – and one-time Silent Rage bassist EJ Curse, the US outfit’s been revived after six years away.

Roxie’s just completed a UK arena tour with shock rocker Alice Cooper and co-penned the legend’s 2003 album The Eyes Of Alice Cooper with Dover.

“We do it almost as much for the camaraderie as for the music,” says ex-White Lion sticksman Farrell, looking ahead to Tuesday’s gig.

“I do appreciate that instead of sitting at home with their families the guys are opting to go out and play some music for the kids and enjoy our company together.”

The Angels perform material from all their bands, plus covers of classics by the likes of Queen, David Bowie, The Sweet, Cheap Trick, AC/ DC and Golden Earring. Tickets £29.90 via Ticketweb.

• Prog rock legends Focus play Church (Sunday) and the Green Hotel (Monday).

Led by yodelling frontman Thijs van Leer, the Dutch masters reached the UK top 20 with their bonkers rifffuelled single Hocus Pocus in 1973.

After a prolific solo career, van Leer revived the band in 2002 with original drummer Pierre van der Linden returning two years later. Augmented by guitarist Menno Gootjes and bassist Udo Pannekeet, who replaced veteran Bobby Jacobs in 2017, Focus released their 11th studio album – the aptly titled Focus 11 – last year.

Kinross is sold out, while Church tickets are £22 via Tickets Scotland.

Ed’s new album Stars From A Sidecar touches on love, loss, prejudice and belonging, with some of its songs dating from as far back as 1996 when he was still a teenager.
