Haws go third after two extra points for Sauchie player error

-

Central Taxis East of Scotland League Premier Division

Hill of Beath Hawthorn have gained two extra points during the week without playing a game after they were awarded a 3-0 win over Sauchie after they fielded an ineligible player.

That puts the Haws level on points with third placed Tranent.

John Mitchell’s side face arguably the match of the day in the EOSL as they are away at Newtown Park to face leaders Bo’ness United.

The Fife side head south without the suspended Regan Lumsden and Shaun Leishman but otherwise Mitchell has the same squad as he had for last week’s postponed game against Newtongrange Star.

Dundonald Bluebell return to action after a blank week as they host Whitehill Welfare at Moorside Park.

The Edinburgh side were relegated from the Lowland League at the end of last season and have found life in the EOSL Premier difficult, with them being kept off the bottom by Sauchie.

Bluebell are without Lewis McKenzie and Stuart Walton has left the club on a month’s loan.

Craig Wedderburn is back in training but not ready yet.

Jeanfield Swifts’ original game for this weekend against Broxburn Athletic was postponed due to the Lothian side having a Scottish Cup replay.

Ross Gunnion’s men now travel to Olivebank to face Musselburgh and have doubts over Chris Scott and Fraser Smith but Mike Kennedy and Jamie Reid are expected to return.

In-form Crossgates Primrose face Tranent at Forester Park.

Tranent dented Camelon’s run of form in taking a point last weekend at Carmuirs Park while Primrose had a weekend off after their game against Whitehill Welfare was postponed.

Boss Alan Campbell expects to have a full squad available.

First Division Conference A

Following last week’s win over Dunbar United in the Alex Jack Cup semi-final, Oakley United return to Conference A action as they entertain bottom club Craigroyston at Blairwood Park.

Boss Stewart Kenny is without the injured Johnny Harrison and Taku Seva but otherwise has the same squad that was on duty against Dunbar United.

Cross-Conference Games

This weekend sees the first of the cross-conference fixtures where clubs in Conference A play a Conference B club.

Burntisland Shipyard put their recent good form on the line as they entertain Stirling University at Recreation Park.

Inverkeithing Swifts’ trip to Haddington Athletic should be a cracking game.

Both sides have started well with Swifts being the Conference A surprise package.

Lee Duffy should have the same squad that would have been on duty at Tweedmouth.

Alan Cameron’s Kinnoull face Easthouses Lily at Tulloch Park with the suspended pair of Dale Smart and Pat Brown as well as Tijan Nyass, Ben English, Benn Blyth and Lucas Osinski.

Cameron also has injury concerns over Liam Wooley and Chris McCaffrey so his squad will be limited – however, he may be able to bring in a couple of trialists.

St Andrews United and Glenrothes were big rivals over the years as Junior clubs and that rivalry is renewed as they meet at Barnetts Park.

Saints boss Andy Brown is expected to make changes for the derby.

Glenrothes’ clash with Dalkeith in Conference B was postponed last weekend so manager Barry Cockburn takes a full squad the short journey to Barnetts Park.

● Kelty Hearts are without a game due to BSC Glasgow’s William Hill Scottish Cup replay against Lochee United tomorrow.
