Elevator to run accelerator at MSIP
Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc has awarded a contract to run an innovative business accelerator programme focused on sustainable mobility and low carbon to Elevator.
Elevator operates Business Gateway services in Tayside and runs accelerator courses in the Centre for Entrepreneurship at Dundee University and Perth’s Creative Exchange.
The business support group will launch a specialist programme to support Scotland’s net-zero carbon ambitions.
The 16-week programme will provide participants with access to the skills, knowledge, networks and advice to enhance their overall solutions.
Elevator will engage the support of specialist sector delivery partners with the technical know-how and global networks to act as catalysts to ensure clear development, commercial and marketing pathways exist, and that each company has the potential to grow and scale.
John Reid, Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc chief executive, said:
“The launch of MSIP’s Sustainable Mobility and Low Carbon Innovation Accelerator marks a key milestone in building our world-class innovation park in Dundee.
“Our accelerator is a key part of MSIP’s innovation programme, that will offer access to space, support and networks, as well as collaboration opportunities with industry and academia located at MSIP.
“This very specific accelerator is a real opportunity for companies in this space, and I am confident that Elevator will deliver a programme that will achieve great results for those companies to scale up and grow.”
Elevator chief executive Professor Gary McEwan added: “Our accelerator will act as a springboard for forwardthinking pioneers investing in zeroemission transport solutions and zero carbon energy emissions to help drive diversification and growth.”
