More than 50 drivers, their vehicles highly polished, competed for places in the national final in Coventry in September. The final test was three manoeuvring exercises.

The woman, who was delivering the takings of a shop to a local bank, was attacked in Dundee’s Murraygate, near Peter Street, shortly after 5.30pm. Although a passer-by came to her aid, the two teenagers were able to make off with a carrier bag containing a “substantial amount of money.” A number of other people in the area also tried to help the woman.
