Young farmers tidy up

A group of young farmers from East Fife JAC have spent a day helping KM Duncan Agricultural Engineering and Arncroach and Carnbee Community Development Trust (CDT) tidy up the Gillingshill Reservoir and nature reserve at Arncroach.

Heavy rain did not stop them putting up bird boxes or clearing paths.

East Fife JAC member and a CDT director, Jenny Brunton, said: “Farming hasn’t stopped during lockdown but the club wanted to give something back to the community.

“When we heard of the work that needed done at Gillingshill, everyone was happy to help out and it was a fun way for the club to come together whilst socially distant, and give something back to the local area.”
