The Chicago quintet Twin Peaks sound nothing like the ethereal music associated with David Lynch’s famed TV series, and are influenced more by garage rock, The Rolling Stones and cult favourites The Replacements.

Above/Below has a ’60s feel, psychedelic guitars and keyboards and minimal, muffled vocals, while Any More Than You Want recalls Beatles-influenced 90s Britpop. Their natural habitat is on stage and they’re heading to Australia in the autumn. With luck, perhaps they can play these songs live in the UK next year. 7/10
