Loons raring to take on battling Bairns

-

Forfar head to Falkirk ‘full of beans’ according to manager Stuart Malcolm who has moved on from a feeling of disappointment after the Loons only secured a goalless draw with Dumbarton at Station Park in their opening League 1 fixture.

Malcolm said: “Having seen how the players h av e coped in their Betfred Cup game against Hibs, and then for parts of the league game with Dumbarton, we are going to the Falkirk Stadium full of beans.”

“I would much rather we were going there with three points and not one. We were well on top of Dumbarton in the first half and had forced their goalkeeper into a number of good saves however we never really got going again in the second half.

“We allowed the game to become scrappy and stopped doing what we had been doing to be successful. We never created enough chances and the chance to get off to a winning start slipped away from us. However, we have talked about what happened and we will be ready for Falkirk.”

Malcolm know she needs 90-minutes of commitment from his side against the Bairns as he explained: “They are a full- time outfit with a strong squad who squeezed out a win at Montrose in their opening match. It looked like they were going to have to settle for a point, however they found a way to win.”

On-loan Dundee United midfielder Florent Hoti could make his debut. Steven Anderson, Darren Whyte, Michael Travis and Mark Hill are ruled out and Daniel Scally faces a fitness test.
