Kelty all set for top of table clash with EK

-

Top juniors match of the day is at New Central Pa r k , where secondplaced Kelty Hearts host Lowland League leaders East Kilbride.

Both teams are unbeaten but Kelty do have a 100% record from their five games while East Kilbride are a point ahead having won five and drawn one of their six games.

Kelty boss Barry Ferguson is expected to have the same squad available once again and is unlikely to make changes.

In seasons past, Prestonfield was a ground that clubs visited in trepidation to face the mighty Linlithgow Rose.

But with the home side very much in transition under Brown Ferguson, Jeanfield Swifts make the East of Scotland League Premier Division trip confident of taking all three points and maintaining their unbeaten start.

Ross Gunnion is expected to have the same squad that beat Dunbar Un i t e d last weekend.

T here are two Fife derbies in the division.

At Hu m b u g Pa r k , Crossgates Primrose, who h av e t a ke n just two points from their opening five games, welcome a Dundonald Bluebell side who have won three from five.

Stewart McDonald is expected to complete a move to Primrose from Glenrothes and looks like being the only change to Alan Campbell’s squad.

Kevin Fotheringham was delighted by the impact of new signing Barry Sibanda last week, scoring twice on his debut, and he will be looking for more of the same.

Fotheringham said: “It’s a local derby so we will need everybody to be on form.”

The Bluebell boss has players carrying knocks but Ross Drummond is definitely out.

Hill of Beath will go in to their derby against bottom club Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts in confident mood following last weekend’s win over Tynecastle. Ho we ver, manager John Mitchell will need to make changes with both Russell Grierson and Daniel Watt suspended after red cards.

Conference B of the First Division is the place for big games with two cracking encounters.

At Blairwood Pa r k Oakley Un i t e d and Luncarty both put their 100% records on the line as they meet.

Luncarty manager Robbie Ho l d e n said “Oakley have made a brilliant start, five from five is very impressive.

“Blair wood Park is never an easy place to go and they are flying and I have read that they are targeting the league title but we are unbeaten too and at least one of the 100% records will go on Saturday.

“I know that our boys will be doing their best to maintain ours and we will see where it takes us.”

Both sides are expected to have a full squad available.

There might not be 100% records on the line but that doesn’t detract from what will be a keenly contested game at East Shore Pa r k as Kinnoull make the short trip down the Tay in to Fife to take on hosts Newburgh.

Alan Cameron’s Kinnoull side will have to be aware of striker Scott Sutherland, who is bang in form in front of goal.

Both sides are expected to have similar squads available, with Cameron hoping to add a couple to the squad that lost last time out.
