Fifers boss wants his side to be more vocal as they seek first win

-

East Fife aim to pick up their first three- point haul of the season by defeating a visiting Dumbarton side, with Methil manager Darren Young looking for his side to become louder on the park.

The Sons have not lost a goal in the league this season and head to Fife after wins over Airdrie and Clyde in the past week, whilst Young’s side are looking to bounce back after losing to Falkirk seven days ago.

Young said: “I have watched footage of D u m b a r t o n’s games against Airdrie and Clyde and they h av e been impressive, especially in defence where their record speaks for itself.

“They are very well organised and one of the reasons for that is that they have a very vocal team.

“I am looking for more of that from our players as we are a bit on the quiet side.

“We actually limited Fa l k i r k to very few chances, however we lost goals as we had players that were not where they could have been or were not aware of the dangers around them as no one was talking.

“Credit to Falkirk for taking the opportunities that were presented to them, however we will take steps to avoid that shortage of awareness happening again.

“We need to be louder to ensure that we keep our organisation.”

Young added: “It has been a very frustrating start to the season as there was nothing between us and Cove in the opening game until a mad minute when we had a player sent off and lost a goal.

“Against Montrose we let a two-goal lead slip and then last weekend at Falkirk we gave away goals that could have been avoided.

“We have the chance to put those disappointments behind us against Dumbarton.”

D a n ny De n h o l m is available following his two-game ban.
