Doddie’s Whisky Auction

The Whisky Shop Auctions is hosting Doddie Weir’s Whisky Auction online from November 11-22 in celebration of the third anniversary of his charity, the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which raises funds to aid research into Motor Neurone Disease.

A collection of unique and highly sought-after bottles will come under the hammer to raise funds for Doddie’s charity.

Whisky lovers can register at whiskyshop.com/auctions/ doddies-charity-auction, and the catalogue of bottles will be continuously updated there.

Tuck into rare breed beef

Rare breed beef from a herd recently introduced to Balcaskie Estate in Fife is now available from the butchery at Bowhouse.

Lincoln Red is an ancient breed of cattle that is now endangered and a small herd of cattle were introduced to the organic estate in 2019. Renowned for its marbling and flavour, each box will include one rolled roasting joint; one rolled slow roasting joint; one bone in prime steak for sharing; a selection of boneless prime steaks; a selection of ‘Butcher’s Cut’ steaks; beef on the bone for slow cooking; stewing beef; mince; a selection of sausages; bone marrow beef burgers.

Boxes cost £125 and orders can be placed at the Butchery at Bowhouse online shop or via butchery@bowhousefife. com and delivered across the UK in sustainable Woolcool boxes for £10.

Collections can be made from the Butchery at Bowhouse shop. Bowhouse Market Weekends this year take place on November 14 and 15, and December 12 and 13.
