Jeanfield out to keep unbeaten run going against Broxburn

-

Jeanfield Swifts will be on their guard this afternoon as they welcome Broxburn Athletic in a Central Taxis East of Scotland League Premier Division clash.

The Perth men will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten run and have a full squad who are all in competition for a starting place.

Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts will be hoping that they can show that their win at Hill of Beath last weekend wasn’t a flash in the pan as they host Newtongrange Star at Ballast Bank.

Swifts go in to the game with the same squad that was soundly beaten by Sauchie on Wednesday.

Former Hill of Beath boss Kevin Fotheringham returns to Keirs Park with Dundonald Bluebell.

Fotheringham is without Ross Drummond and also has six other players carrying knocks.

Haws boss John Mitchell is expected to have the same squad that lost in midweek and may make changes to the starting XI.

Crossgates Primrose recorded their first win of the season on Wednesday at Blackburn United and Alan Campbell will be looking for more of the same as his side travel to face Tyne castle this afternoon.

Campbell is expected to have the same squad on duty at Meggetland that travelled to Blackburn.

The big game in Conference A is at Memorial Ground as Thornton Hibs take on Kennoway Star Hearts in a Fife derby.

Hearts are just a point behind their local rivals but have a game in hand.

Both teams have lost just one game, ironically to the same opponent, Edinburgh United.

Thornton boss Craig Gilbert has the same squad available that beat St Andrews United more convincingly than the 2-1 scoreline suggested, and Hearts manager Lee Richardson is in the same position, with Dylan Walker promoted from the U20s on a permanent basis.

St Andrews United boss Charlie King is looking for his side to inflict further pressure on visitors Kirkcaldy and Dysart and in turn lift a bit of the burden off his injury-hit squad. King is without five players for definite while another handful will play through the pain barrier.

Kirkcaldy have had a nightmare start with seven straight defeats, the latest a 2- 0 loss at Kennoway Star Hearts last weekend.

Boss Craig Ness welcomes back Robert Wilson, Sam Buchan, Ronnie Martin and Adam Haddow but Ewan Henderson and Callum Geddes drop out.

The Fife side are boosted by having a full squad available for the first time in a number of games.

It’s another derby day in Conference B, with two all-Fife clashes.

Burntisland Shipyard shared the points and six goals last weekend with Lochgelly Albert but will be looking to go a step further as they entertain Lochore Welfare.

Both managers are expected to have full squads available.

Glenrothes received a boost in midweek when they were awarded three points from their opening day defeat at Hawick Royal Albert, after the borders side were punished for fielding an ineligible player, the ruling sees Glens jump three places in the Conference B table

Glenrothes today make the short trip to Gardiners Park to take on Lochgelly Albert. Glens will be without Lewis Grierson and Paul McManus.

Lochgelly Albert go in to the game on the back of a 3-3 d r aw with Burntisland Shipyard and are expected to have the same squad available.

The big game in Conference B is at Brownlands Park where Luncarty put their 100% record on the line against leaders Newburgh. Both teams report injury-free squads.

There is a tasty encounter on the menu at Blairwood Park as Oakley United host Kinnoull.
