Angus farm with development potential on the market for £1.6m
A farm in the Sidlaw Hills in Angus has gone on the market with a price tag of £1.6 million.
Wester Keith, around 7 ½ miles from Dundee, comes with land extending to around 330 acres and is currently a livestock farm carrying a suckler cow herd and ewe flock which are based there all year round.
The in-bye pasture land is graded as Class 3 by the James Hutton Institute.
The sellers add that some of the pasture on Wester Keith is capable of growing arable crops. The fields are of a good workable size and layout and are naturally well drained.
Included in the sale is a brand new open- span steel portal frame shed with adjoining lean- to extending to around 18 metres by 18 metres and a range of traditional farm buildings which have largely fallen into disrepair but offers
potential for development. The sale also offers the potential to create one or two bespoke residential properties, with planning consent for a threebedroom home and the potential to develop the site of the former farmhouse, subject to permission.
Ian Hope, of Galbraith, who is handling the sale, said: “The sale of Wester
Keith represents an excellent opportunity for the purchaser to continue the farming business or to create a rural business hub.”
The land holding lies within a single block with good access.
The farm is to be sold in four lots ranging in price from £175,000, to £800,000 or as a whole with offers over £1.62m.
