At the annual general meeting of Perth Burns Club, the following officebear­ers were elected for season 2024-25: president, Alan Telfer; vice president, Joe Giacopazzi; immediate past president, Joan Allan; secretary, Elliott Boyle; treasurer, Joan Allan; auditor, George Alexander. The committee is made up of Jim Calderwood, Bill Dawson, Ann Harding, Dr Kylie Murray, Iain Mackintosh, Estelle Nicol and Donald Paton.

Yorkshire Building Society colleagues in Dundee are collecting colouring books, pens and pencils, craft materials, toys and toiletries for teenagers. Donations will be given to The Sunshine Box who provide toy boxes to hospitals.

The collection will be running until Friday June 28. Donations can be dropped into the branch between 9am and 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or 9.30am and 4.30pm on a Wednesday.

Dundee City have reached the quarterfin­al of the online 2024 World Chess League with a win over a team from Australia.

World Chess Live is played on chess.com and has more than 100 teams competing globally.

There will be a coffee morning and soup lunch at Perth Methodist Church tomorrow from 10.30am until 1.30pm.

Sunday morning worship at 11am will be a celebratio­n of the sacrament of Holy Communion led by the Rev Alan Anderson. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available afterwards.
