CAPTAIN James Smith is targeting a hat-trick of Bradford League titles in 2017 after Pudsey St Lawrence sealed back-to-back league successes.

With 16 points needed for the title, Barrie Frankland scored 65 runs on Saturday as Pudsey St Lawrence ammassed 245-7 before dismissing Bradford & Bingley for 157.

Second-placed Hanging Heaton finished four points adrift of the leaders.

“It gives you so much pride when you are able to see our lads do it again and show the mental pressure to perform and execute their skills,” Smith said.“We are a good age as a squad and hopefully we can give it a good run next year and try and make it three.”
