How to speed up DRS

WHILE I accept DRS is here to stay, one of my biggest gripes with it is the unnecessary delays to play it causes.

I realise the third umpire can’t make impulsive decisions and has to carefully review all the evidence.

However, when reviewing a potential LBW I can’t understand why the third umpire can’t decide in which order he wants to see the various evidence.

I’ve seen five-minute delays trying to detect an inside edge, culminating in “can we just rock and roll that please?”When clearly the ball has pitched three inches outside leg stump, confirmed by ball-tracking.

I’d like to see the third umpire asking to view the evidence in whichever order he thinks he’ll be able to uphold or overturn a decision.
