Cut Durham points loss

-

THE ECB is one of cricket’s most hypocritical ruling bodies.Their idea counties should bid as much as possible to stage Tests, has for the most part enriched the Board at the cost of wrecking county finances, except in London.

There may be a case for punishing Durham but the ECB have been like a ‘siren on the rocks’.They told them to build the ‘white elephant’ of Chester-le-Street and then proceed to ruin them. The punishment is further applied to 2017 – a surefire way to cut the number of counties.

Will the ECB please accept their involvement in all this and at the very least scrub the 2017 points deduction. MALCOLM HASTIE,

Ashton-under-Lyne
