Kohli has plenty of flaws...

NOT in the caste sense obviously, but on day two of the third Test between India and Australia, the Indian TV commentators were suggesting that KL Rahul’s extravagant drive in the first Test caught at long-off was to blame for India’s batting collapse and defeat.

Did they not see captain Virat Kohli take a wild swipe at his first ball (wide of off-stump) and get out for a golden duck?

Rahul has made a substantial contribution to India’s scores in this series; not so Kohli, who didn’t play a stroke at a straight ball in one innings and in another reviewed an obvious lbw decision and then left the field before the review was completed.

He has even accused the Australians of “crossing the line” over DRS referrals; this from a man who often harasses the umpires when an umpire’s call thwarts his review.
