Two more years for Tymal at Sussex
TYMAL Mills will keep on playing domestic T20 cricket after signing a new two-year deal with Sussex.
Mills, 24, can only play the shortest format of the game due to a back condition and has recently been playing in the IPL after being bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for £1.4m.
The fast bowler made his England T20 debut in July last year and also played all three games against India in January.
Mills, pictured, said: “Ever since I joined the club I’ve been welcomed with open arms and I now fully regard Hove as my home.
“Even throughout all of my injuries when I first joined the club, the level of support I have received has been outstanding, and I am looking to repay that support over the next three seasons.”
Mills was Sussex’s leading T20 Blast wickettaker last season, claiming 15 scalps and he has gone on to play competitions in Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan.
Sussex director of cricket Keith Greenfield said: “We are looking to create an exciting and dynamic T20 team for years to come, and Tymal is an ‘X Factor’ cricketer who fits the bill in achieving that goal.
“There is no better sight for Sussex fans to see Tymal running down the hill at Hove, bowling quick and giving opposition batsmen a hard time.”
