Sutton keeps feet on the ground

- By Andrew Lawton

CAPTAIN Andrew Sutton doesn’t want his Barnt Green side getting ahead of themselves after Josh Poysden, right, took 3-22 from 17 overs as they secured a fourth straight win.

Barnt Green were bowled out for just 154 after Shrewsbury chose to bowl first, with James Psarakis the only batsman making a serious impression on the scoreboard with 64.

But that proved to be more than enough for Barnt Green as Warwickshire spinner Poysden grabbed three dismissals with Sutton (3-41) and Adam Hines (3-31) also among the wickets.

“The momentum is certainly going our way at the moment,” said Sutton, whose side are fifth in Birmingham Premier.

“We have been working hard in training and preparing well before games but we have to keep our feet on the ground and not get too ahead of ourselves. We are a confident bunch right now especially after we lost four or five games on the spin to start the season.”
