Brooker hopeful

RICHARD Brooker is confident his Halesowen team can still challenge for promotion after a nervy three-wicket win over Old Hill.

The success against the bottom side in Birmingham & District Division Two leaves Halesowen 17 points behind second-placed Pershore, with the skipper looking to peak in the final weeks of the campaign to move into the top two.

He said:“There are five games to go now and together with our cricket coaching and admin back-up team we have mapped out exactly what needs to happen for us to get to promotion.

“On paper its clear and every player has a clear view of what they need to do individually and now we need to stick to it.”
