SURREY will still be able to call on the seam services of Jade Dernbach and Stuart Meaker after the pair both signed new three-year contracts to keep them at the Oval until the end of the 2020 season.

Both Dernbach and Meaker have made England appearances with 31-year-old Dernbach featuring 58 times for England in white-ball cricket between 2011 and 2014.

Dernbach made his Surrey debut against India A in 2003 before establishing himself in the side from 2005 onwards.

He has made 103 first-class appearances, while starring in 138 List A matches and 131 T20 games.

Dernbach said:“I am so pleased to have signed an extension here at Surrey. We have such a young and exciting squad and I’m looking forward to pushing for silverware over the next three years.”

Fellow right-armer Meaker, 28, played two ODIs for England against India in 2011 and featured in two T20 internationals against the same opposition a year later.

Meaker said: “I’ve spent an amazing ten years at this great club now. Every year has presented a new and exciting challenge and goal to achieve.

“Signing this new contract shows just how excited I am to continue taking on those challenges with the amazing squad of players we have at Surrey.”

This news follows the new deals at Surrey for Ryan Patel, Will Jacks and Gus Atkinson and extensions for Conor McKerr, Amar Virdi and Ollie Pope.
