The man and the myth Arnold Schwarzenegger has starred in some terrific films (Terminator) and some awful ones (Last Action

Hero). This one, in which he plays a muscular soldier trying to rescue his kidnapped daughter, is between the two: fast and explosive but thuddingly mindless. Still, there are funny lines. “Remember when I promised to kill you last? I lied.” (It’s the way he tells them.)
