Barbara Slater

The most powerful woman in British sports broadcasting, Slater is the BBC’S first female director of sport. The 57-year-old, who previously represented Great Britain at gymnastics, famously axed the editors of the now-defunct men’s magazines Zoo and Nuts from the BBC Sports Personality of the Year judging panel.
