Genuinely humble, she is one of the world’s best players, but you wouldn’t know it. A farm girl at heart; she used to practise kicking over hay bales.

14 Lydia Thompson Wing

Great finisher and one of the nicest people in the game. Always the first to get the tea. She won’t always say a lot but will then come out with great one-liners.

13 Megan Jones Centre

One of the kids, she is great value to have around. She will always say something she genuinely believes is true but doesn’t really know if it is or not!

12 Rachael Burford Centre

One of the best passers in the game but, as her effort on the bus the other day showed, not the best singer. Amazing workrate on and off the pitch.

11 Kay Wilson Wing

Kay has been my room-mate since 2011, since we both got our first cap. Always looking out for others, and a fantastic finisher. Great with ball in hand.

10 Katy Mclean Fly-half

Very chilled, she will just say it how it is. A great character. She and Kay Wilson are close; they love to mock each other and wind each other up.

9 Natasha Hunt Scrum-half

The girls would say I’m a bit of a joker, I like to wind people up. Me and Marlie Packer love to get each other going, we are a bit like sisters.

1 Vickii Cornborough Prop

Huge workrate, a really decent character, an all-round good egg. She is quite chilled and very methodical in all that she does, very organised.

2 Amy Cokayne Hooker

Defintely a bit of a joker. She thinks she is funny but not eveyrone agrees with her all the time! She is just a great rugby player and has brilliant vision.

3 Sarah Bern Prop

The famous box on legs! Just so powerful and very, very fast – but she is quite a softie really. She has a heart of gold and is also a great singer.

4 Abbie Scott Second row

Abbie is very quickwitted, a really funny girl who is great to have around, but she is very competive and absolutely relentless. She never gives up.

5 Tamara Taylor Second row

An absolute line-out genius, she knows what other people will call before they do it! A huge calming presence and always knows the right thing to say.

6 Alex Matthews Flanker

Alex is one of the sweetest, kindest most gentle girls. And she is an incredible athlete; when you see her on the bike, the wattage she gets is outrageous.

7 Marlie Packer Flanker

An absolute work horse, you wouldn’t want her in any team but yours. Such a good friend to have around; another who always knows what to say.

8 Sarah Hunter No 8

Never takes a backward step. Always leads by example. Doesn’t always get the glory because she does so much hard graft.
