Bristol Ladies

Coach: Kris De Scossa.

Key player: Claire Molloy. Bristol have lost top players, including England captain Sarah Hunter, so Irish flanker Molloy should be one to watch.

Darlington MP Sharks

Coaches: Justin Loveridge, Mike Umaga. Key player: Katy Mclean. Mclean is one of a number of big-name England players who have commited to the club.

Firwood Waterloo Ladies

Coaches: Rob Tisley, Mark Beckett.

Key player: Ash Neale. Neale may not be an England internatio­nal but expect inspiratio­nal leadership from the Merseyside PE teacher as club captain. An unsung hero of the club game.

Gloucester­hartpury Women’s RFC

Coach: Susie Appleby. Key player: Sarah Bern. Bern, a tighthead, was a star of the World Cup. Signed from Bristol and known as the “box on legs”.

Harlequins Ladies

Coaches: Gary Street, Karen Findlay. Key player: Abbie Scott. Scott, an athletic lock, is one of nine Harlequins players who were at the World Cup.

Loughborou­gh Lightning

Coach: Rhys Edwards.

Key player: Sarah Hunter. Signing England captain Hunter is a real coup.

Richmond FC

Coach: David Mobbs-smith. Key player: Rowena

Saracens Women

Coach: Rob Cain. Key player: Lotte Clapp.

Although not in England’s World Cup squad, exciting back Clapp, 22, has a handful of caps and strong leadership skills. She is Saracens captain.

Wasps FC Ladies

Coach: Giselle Mather.

Key player: Kate Alder. Alder is captain and the hard-hitting centre will bring fine leadership on and off the field.

Worcester Valkyries

Coach: Roy Davies Key player: Lydia Thompson. Thompson has a wonderful knack of ripping through defences.
