Ireland and Scotland are through to the Super Six stage of the World Cup qualifying tournament. The Irish beat the United Arab Emirates by 226 runs on Duckworth-lewis after Paul Stirling (126) and captain William Porterfiel­d (92) set a record-breaking opening partnershi­p of 205 en route to 313 for six. The UAE were dismissed for 91. Scotland made it through despite a tie with Zimbabwe yesterday, when they were bowled out in the final over after needing just two runs with two wickets left.
