Chadli’s £17m get-out
Nacer Chadli has a relegation release clause of £17 million, with West Bromwich Albion’s record signing set to finally make his comeback this weekend, against Liverpool. Chadli has emerged as the latest Albion player with a clause in his contract that can be triggered in the event of relegation, joining Jonny Evans (£3 million) and Salomon Rondon
(£16.5 million). The Belgium international was signed for
£18 million from Tottenham in August 2016 and it seems inevitable he will depart after the club’s relegation is confirmed.
