Denison’s future at Yorkshire in doubt over role in BHS scandal

Steve Denison’s role as chairman of Yorkshire is in doubt as he faces a 15-year ban from accountanc­y and a record £325,000 fine relating to his role in auditing BHS’S accounts while a partner at Pricewater­house Coopers. Yorkshire are expected to make a statement over Denison’s future in the coming days.

Somerset, meanwhile, have gone top of the Specsavers County Championsh­ip after chasing down a target of 250 for a loss of just four wickets against Nottingham­shire.

Matt Renshaw led the way with 61, while Notts offspinner Matt Carter claimed three wickets for match figures of eight for 95.

Ian Bell hit his second unbeaten century in the match as Warwickshi­re sealed a four-wicket win over Glamorgan. Durham beat Derbyshire by 95 runs.
