Liverpool close in on Shaqiri

Liverpool are close to triggering the £13.8 million release clause for Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri with Wales midfielder Harry Wilson moving to the Bet365 Stadium on loan as part of the deal. Shaqiri could join Liverpool for their tour of the United States later this month if negotiations continue to run smoothly. Stoke, meanwhile, are expecting to complete their protracted £5 million move for West Brom winger James Mcclean before next week.
