Revenge for Eze as QPR extend run

- Nice and easy: Ebere Eze sealed victory over Millwall

Two goals inside three first-half minutes gave rejuvenated Queens Park Rangers a 2-0 victory over Millwall in the London derby at Loftus Road.

Massimo Luongo put QPR ahead on the half-hour mark and Ebere Eze, playing against the club that released him, doubled their lead.

It continued a dramatic upturn in form for Rangers, who lost their first four league matches under Steve Mcclaren – a run which included a 7-1 humiliation at West Brom.

They have taken 10 points from a possible 12 since the all-important loan signings of strikers Nahki Wells and Tomer Hemed, although the latter was rested from the starting XI against Millwall.

Omar Bogle wasted a glorious late chance as

Birmingham’s winless start to the Championship season continued with a 0-0 draw at

Sheffield United.

The Blues picked up a sixth draw from eight matches at Bramall Lane, but will feel they should have left with more than that after spurning a string of chances.

The hosts showed more intent for much of the contest, but lacked the guile in the final third to break down stubborn opponents.

Reading suffered a fourth home defeat of the season, losing 2-1 to Norwich.

Teemu Pukki’s fifth goal of the campaign in the 14th minute put Norwich ahead. Jon Dadi Bodvarsson levelled things in the 72nd minute but Norwich went straight down the other end where Mario Vrancic produced a neat finish.

Nottingham Forest beat

Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 and moved above them on goal difference. Lewis Grabban touched in a 41st-minute free-kick before Joao Carvalho curled in a second for Forest on 63 minutes. Steven Fletcher’s deflected 88th-minute shot boosted hopes of another comeback after Wednesday snatched a point against Stoke at the weekend but it proved to be just a consolation.
