No Silva lining Spaniard to leave club

Pep Guardiola says he has given up any hope of David Silva staying at Manchester City.

City’s players have been trying to persuade the Spaniard (below), who scored a fine free-kick and set up Gabriel Jesus’s goal, to stay for another season.

“He decided to leave, he has said many times,” said the City manager. “Hopefully he comes back for a farewell game and he can find a place for his last years.”
