Reading get Carter

Reading Women have signed former Arsenal forward Danielle Carter following her departure from the London club last month. Carter, 27, is now fully fit after sustaining another anterior cruciate ligament injury last summer just months after recovering from the same injury. She made over 100 Arsenal appearances, winning back-to-back WSL titles in 2011 and 2012 and multiple FA Cups. She scored the winning goal in the 2016 FA Cup final against Chelsea. Her first ACL injury meant that she was unavailable for last summer’s World Cup.
