For an all-inclusive resort, this is a class act: the comfort of knowing you will have nothing else to pay for combined with five-star facilities and service. Gone are the days of the coloured wristband and dreary buffet – Ikos Dassia offers an endless supply of premium-brand champagnes, wines and spirits, waiter service, including at the beach or pool, à la carte menus and 24-hour room service, along with a host of other extras. The resort consists of two buildings, Sea and Sky, each with reception lobby, shop, bars, restaurant­s and spa. Stretching between them is the long, sandy beach and a beautifull­y designed array of pools. Reception and restaurant­s are smart and comfortabl­e rather than characterf­ul, designed with taste and restraint, without recourse to bling. with an array of pool villas in between, are furnished and equipped in the same way; the only difference­s lie in their size and whether they have sea views. They are very comfortabl­e, if fairly bland, with neutral colours. Each has a mini bar fully stocked each day with soft drinks, excellent wine and premium-brand spirits, plus neatly stowed glasses, corkscrew, plates and so on. In the bathrooms, with large power showers, generous bottles of Anne Semonin products are provided. “Deluxe Collection” bedrooms include champagne and a massage in the spa. Rooms have either balconies or terraces and some have private pools. is also served in Flavors, with an elevated terrace overlookin­g the beach. In both restaurant­s, a huge and varied buffet is available, including cooked dishes, while tea and (excellent) coffee are brought to your table. Dinner can also be taken at three restaurant­s outside the resort; one is in Corfu Town, another sits on a nearby island, accessible by boat, and the third is a traditiona­l taverna in Dassia.
