“The Tourist?” Oh dear, really sorry to hear that. It isn’t very good, is it? Neither Angelina Jolie nor Johnny Depp are at their best, and nobody seems to be sure if it’s a comedy or a drama. Still, Venice looks splendid throughout, and the Hotel Danieli (danielihot­elvenice. com), slotted into the 14thcentur­y Palazzo Dandolo, is a lovely place to stay. Doubles for €296.
