Busy Billy

SIR – I was delighted to read Patrick Sawer’s article (report, April 21) about William Muir, who lives on the Orkney island of North Ronaldsay.

Billy is indeed a very active man, so it came as no surprise to me that he holds down the 10 jobs you listed – from sheep farming to air traffic control. However, I would like to add an 11th: when I stayed on the island, he very kindly arranged for the arrival of my Daily Telegraph. He even delivered it himself. Meleri Hughes Deganwy, Caernarfonshire
