Police halt rave on railway line

A rave on a railway line was closed down by police after 200 revellers partied on the tracks. The incident took place on the Bath to Bristol line at Newton St Loe, Somerset, on Saturday night.

The group initially gathered in a cutting below the line, but as more people arrived, partygoers spread over the tracks.

Police shut the rave down but were hampered by weather conditions and difficulty of access.
