Univer­sity sorry for anti-Semitism

A Jewish stu­dent has re­ceived an apol­ogy and pay­ment of £1,000 from the Univer­sity of York Stu­dents’ Union af­ter com­plain­ing of anti-Semitism. Zachary Con­fino, 21, a law stu­dent, was of­fered the sum af­ter two years of ex­pe­ri­enc­ing anti-Semitism from stu­dents while study­ing at the univer­sity. It is un­der­stood that Mr Con­fino had been racially abused and bul­lied.
