Somali cabinet minister killed
A Somali cabinet minister was among 15 people killed by the Islamist group al-Shabaab at a hotel in the capital Mogadishu.
Buri Mohamed Hamza, the environment minister, died when the terrorists exploded a car bomb outside the Naso Hablod hotel before storming it and taking hostages. Al-Shabaab launches frequent attacks to try and topple Somalia’s recognised government.
