Boris Johnson may have settled for the role of Foreign Secretary, but his departmental cat, Palmerston, appears to have higher aspirations. The Foreign Office mouser had to be evicted from No 10 yesterday after sneaking in the front door, left. The feline then sat on the steps before renewing rivalries with Larry (below), its Downing Street counterpart. Vets last week treated Larry for a paw injury believed to have been sustained in clashes between the pair.
